Written by Admin

Ingredients:
2 cups (480ml) whole milk
1/2 cup (120ml) sweetened condensed milk
1/4 cup (50g) granulated sugar
1/4 cup (30g) cornstarch
1 tsp (5ml) vanilla extract
1/4 tsp (1.25g) salt
1/2 cup (60g) powdered milk (optional, for richer flavor)
2 tbsp (30g) unsalted butter
1/4 cup (30g) toasted coconut flakes or crushed nuts for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
Prepare the Milk Mixture:
In a medium saucepan, combine the whole milk, sweetened condensed milk, and granulated sugar.
Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the mixture is warm and the sugar has dissolved.
Thicken the Mixture:
In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch with a few tablespoons of cold milk to make a slurry.
Gradually whisk the slurry into the warm milk mixture, stirring constantly to prevent lumps.
Continue to cook the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it thickens, about 5-7 minutes.
Flavor the Mixture:
Once thickened, remove the saucepan from heat.
Stir in the vanilla extract, salt, powdered milk (if using), and butter until everything is well combined.
Mold the Panels:
Pour the thickened milk mixture into a square or rectangular baking dish, spreading it evenly to form a flat layer.
Allow it to cool slightly, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until fully set.
Cut and Serve:
Once the mixture has set, cut it into square or rectangular “panels.”
Optionally, garnish with toasted coconut flakes or crushed nuts before serving.
