2. Fire test: Place a few grains of rice on the flame using tongs. Real rice will burn and give off a toasted odor, while plastic rice will melt and may give off a plastic odor.
3- Mortar and pestle test: Crush some grains. Real rice should crush easily and feel prickly. Plastic rice will be harder to crush and may appear flexible.
4- Boiling test: Boil a small sample of rice and watch the water. Real rice produces some starch on the surface, while plastic rice may leave a strange residue.
5- Mold test: Cook some rice and leave it in a warm place. Real rice rots, but plastic rice is unaffected.
