Vanilla and Strawberry Ice Cream
Ingredients:
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract (for vanilla flavor)
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, pureed (for strawberry flavor)
- A few drops of red food coloring (optional, for strawberry color)
Instructions:
- Base Mixture:
- In a mixing bowl, combine heavy cream, whole milk, and sugar. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.
- Vanilla Ice Cream:
- Divide the mixture in half.
- In one half, mix in the vanilla extract.
- Pour into a container and freeze for at least 4-6 hours, or churn in an ice cream maker if you have one.
- Strawberry Ice Cream:
- In the other half of the base mixture, stir in the pureed strawberries. Add red food coloring if a stronger pink color is desired.
- Pour into a separate container and freeze for 4-6 hours or churn.
- Serving:
- Scoop both vanilla and strawberry ice cream into a bowl for a colorful and delicious combination.
