Ingredients:
1 tablespoon onion, finely grated
⅓ cup sugar
½ cup mayonnaise
¼ cup buttermilk, well shaken
¼ cup whole milk
1 ½ tablespoons white vinegar
2 ½ tablespoons fresh lemon juice
½ teaspoon salt
⅛ teaspoon black pepper
8 cups or 1-16 ounce bag coleslaw cabbage, finely diced
¼ cup carrot, shredded (omit if using bagged coleslaw mix)
Directions:
Prepare the Dressing: In a large bowl, whisk together onion, sugar, mayonnaise, buttermilk, whole milk, vinegar, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper until smooth and well combined.
Combine with Cabbage: Add coleslaw cabbage and shredded carrot (if using) to the bowl. Mix until the cabbage is evenly coated with the creamy dressing.
Chill and Serve: Cover the bowl and refrigerate for a minimum of 4 hours or overnight to allow the flavors to meld. Stir well before serving chilled as a delicious side dish.
